Supported Devices & Platforms

webAgent is designed to run in a lot of places.

Where the server can run:

• Windows — double-click installer/launcher, or the desktop webagent.exe (see

The Server-Manager TUI & Launchers).

• macOS / Linux — a one-line install using the uv toolchain (see Installing & Running webAgent).
• Android phones — yes, the full server can run on a phone via Termux; there's a

dedicated launcher that smooths over the phone-specific setup.

• Cloud — a container on Google Cloud Run, or a regular virtual machine. See

Deploying to the Cloud.

Where you use it from: any modern web browser. The app is also a **installable web
app (PWA)** — add it to your phone's home screen and it behaves like a native app. The
chat experience is built to work across devices: start on your laptop, pick up on your
phone, and the conversation is exactly where you left it because the database is the
source of truth.

A note on requirements: the server needs Python 3.11 or 3.12. Browser control needs
a one-time browser download (which can be skipped on phones where it's awkward).
