Remote Access (Reach Your PC from Anywhere)

Updated Jun 5, 2026 · 1 min read

If you run webAgent on a home or office PC, Remote Access lets you reach it from your
phone or another network — without a fixed address. It supports several methods (secure
tunnels via ngrok or cloudflared, a Tailscale private network, or plain port-forwarding),
and shows your local address plus a QR code for quick phone setup.

The clever part is the signpost: your PC quietly reports its current address to a
small directory, and your phone keeps a permanent bookmark that always redirects to
wherever the PC is right now — so even if your home IP changes, the bookmark keeps
working. It's managed from the Remote Access card in admin settings.
